Cottonwood Street Crosswalk

Summary

The Cottonwood Street Crosswalk Project is designed to improve pedestrian safety at a key crossing point for daycare users and public centre attendees. In alignment with Vision Zero principles, the project prioritizes the protection of vulnerable road users through several critical upgrades:

  • Raised crosswalk construction to slow vehicle speeds and enhance pedestrian visibility (VZ funding)
  • Installation of crosswalk signage and flashing beacons to alert drivers and improve safety.
  • Addition of streetlights to ensure clear visibility and safer conditions at night.

These improvements will create a safer, more accessible crossing for all road users.
